System overview
Central Mainstation consists of:
- AIR Satellite digital and analog TV and RA demodulators (for analog and digital TV and RA programs)
- AIR Multiplexers
- AIR IP DVB inserter
- AIR DVB-T modulators
- AIR IF controller
- CMTS and AIR Wireless internet transport system for IP traffic
- AIR CODING system & servers (Control, NMS, User, Administration)
Base station(s)
Wireless bidirectional communication interface between end users and main station.
- CPE (customer premises equipment)
- ODU unit (AIR transceiver) receives the downstream transmission frequency and transmits the upstream receiving frequency
- IDU provides connectivity to standard TV through the AIR settop box and connectivity to data terminal and telephony user equipment through standard cable model
