Globtel Holding was visiting DRC on the invitation of Vice – Premier Minister Mr. Thomas Luhaka. Topic of this meeting was setting up the AIR wireless telecommunication network for the whole country. On this occasion we also met the President of ARPTC Mr. Oscar Manikunda Musata, to talk about the regulations regarding this AIR deployment.
Due to the allocation of additional frequency spectrum for Slovenian ISP ARIO, Globtel Holding developed unique AIR triple band equipment. The AIR outdoor CPE unit can work on three different frequency bands simultaneously. This solution offers very high capacity and can be used also in cases where there is not enough capacity on one frequency…
For the time of ATP in Abidjan, Globtel Holding installed the AIR system for the customer VIPNET. AIR showed triple play capabilities and was presented to the professional and general public, impressing them with very high internet speeds and the possibility of IPTV and OTT.
Globtel Holding with AIR attended the Africa Telecom People in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) on 8th and 9th of October, presenting AIR telecommunication solution. ATP is one of the most important telecommunication events on African continent. Globtel Holding’s AIR had a joined booth with VIPNET. The companies jointly presented telecommunication solution for the future.
Air’s development experts are tirelessly developing new frequencies on LMDS band. First commercial AIR system working on LMDS frequencies is planned for spring 2016 and will be deployed in USA.
We are delighted to announce that we are beginning preparations for the installation of the first commercial Air system in Salta, Argentina. This event indicates an important turning point for the AIR system in South America, and it widely opens the door to the Overseas countries.
In April we have carried out activities to prepare the installation of the first test Air system in Fortaleza, Brazil. The test will be conducted in collaboration with local telecommunications partners.
Canadian AIR partner is preparing to commercially set up AIR technology. A building permit for the construction of one of the highest towers for telecommunication purposes is being obtained in these days. Tower will be 1600 feet tall and among other technology, the AIR triple play system will be deployed for commercial coverage.
The team Globtel Holding took part in this year’s CCTA Congress from 3rd-5th February in Montego Bay on Jamaica. Telecommunication Association prepares a conference twice a year for major consociates in this area. Globtel Holding was also presented.
